“Whether explaining a minor grammar point or discussing profound works of literature, I understand that being a polyglot means stepping outside of oneself and taking risks.”
World Languages teacher Victoria Abdulahad has been teaching Upper School French at Poly since 2004. She earned a bachelor’s degree in French literature from Hunter College and a master’s degree in French from Middlebury College. Victoria enjoys the energy, open-mindedness, hopefulness, and humor of her students. She has a special interest in 18th-century French literature. She believes that studying a foreign language allows students to connect with myriad interests, such as music, history, art, literature, food, and different worldviews.
