I participated in Girls’ Varsity Soccer and JV Softball in my freshman year. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep doing sports during my sophomore year because I was quarantining away from the city. However, that was the year that I was able to discover other activities. Before then, my only extracurricular activities had been sports. I began contributing and being on staff of the student newspaper, the history journal, and started doing debate. I excelled in all of those activities and it made me more well-rounded to have good options other than sports (even though I love playing sports on the great teams at Poly!).
