During Reunion 2019, Student Volunteer Alexandra N. ‘20 Connected with Alumni.
As a Gray Key Ambassador, I have volunteered at Poly’s alumni Reunions since my freshman year. Each Reunion that I have attended, I have had the privilege of capturing the day through my photographs, Instagram Takeovers, and my favorite part — the interviews I’ve conducted. Being able to hear stories and advice from all the alumni inspires me and I always learn new things about Poly and its community.
Transforming my interviews into snippets of people’s lives to share with the Poly community is an incredible honor. I find it so moving to connect with the alum, hearing about what Poly means to them, and thinking about my own experiences as well, as I have been at Poly since Pre-K. They have shared how Poly influenced their lives. I am excited to find commonalities with the alumni that comes from intriguing and heartfelt dialogue — one of my conversations has continued after Reunion. It is wonderful being surrounded by alumni, getting to know them through their years at Poly. The alumni I’ve met during Reunion over the years truly cherish all that this school has done for them.
I hope you enjoyed my Instagram Takeover. For those of you who may not be on Instagram, below are my photos and stories from the day. I had a great time meeting everyone!
