Electricity was in the air and school spirit was on full display during Blue Devil Night last Friday. For the first time since early 2020, the entire community was able to come together and they did—in full force—with more than 1,000 people enjoying the evening activities. Families arrived early to the football field and lined up for Nathan’s Famous hot dogs, JaseBBQ, Ample Hills ice cream, and popcorn before the start of the Varsity Football game against Rye Country Day at 7 PM. Hundreds of people filled the bleachers and gathered on the sidelines to cheer on the home team to a great 35-0 win. Varsity Tennis arrived at halftime after another win to join the fun after competing against Fieldston in the Bronx. During halftime, the Grade 4 soccer team, managed by Matt Durando ’96, P’30, took the field and displayed their skills. What a night to be together and show our Poly spirit!
