Learning, discovery, and fun continue beyond regular school hours.

Poly’s Lower School offers a full extended day program for all students enrolled in Nursery to Grade 4.

Families have two options from which they can choose: After School Care and our Enrichment Program.

After School Care

Sometimes families need childcare support on an as-needed basis. This drop-in program is generally available from 3:30 PM until 6:00 PM during the school year and no pre-registration is required.

Students in the After School Care program engage with schoolmates from different classes and grades, and participate in the following programming:

• Nursery and Pre-K After School Care includes activities such as art, storytime, games, and music. Children also visit the playground outdoors, weather permitting.
• Kindergarten through Grade 4 care includes homework time, indoor and outdoor play, art, and games.
• All children in Nursery though Grade 4 are provided with a daily snack.

Details:

• Registration: This is a drop-in program; no prior registration is required.
• Times: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Pick up:  You may pick up your student anytime before 6:00 PM. Any student picked up after 6:00 PM will incur a $35 late fee.
• Nursery students: Please note that Nursery students should be picked up by 5:00 PM during the fall trimester.
• Tuition: $35/day (billed monthly)
• Note: There are no classes on holidays or school closure days.

Enrichment Program

Each trimester, families may register for our engaging Enrichment Program in which we offer courses in the arts, sciences, and athletics.

Taught by members of Poly’s Lower School faculty or outside experts, enrichment classes teach new skills and foster fun. They are age appropriate and designed to provide exciting educational opportunities for exploring a wide array of interests.

Each class meets once a week per trimester with sessions in the fall, winter, and spring.

Details:

• Registration: Families must register each trimester for classes.
• Times: Classes run from either 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM or 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM as noted, except for Chess Team (Thursdays and Fridays), which runs from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM.
• Pick up: Enrolled students may stay until 6:00 PM for no additional fee. If a student is picked up after 6:00 PM, there is a $35 fee.
• Tuition: Ranges from $400-$700 per semester (depending on the number of class sessions)
• Note: There are no classes on holidays or school closure days.

• What is the cost for my child to attend Poly’s Enrichment Program?

  Typically, our Enrichment Program runs $400-$700 per trimester, depending on the number of class sessions.

• What is the cost for After School Care?

  The tuition for After School Care is $35/day and is billed monthly.

• Do I need to make a reservation for the After School Care program?

  No, this program does not require advanced reservation.

• Oh no, I’m late! What happens if I cannot pick up my child by 6:00 PM?

  It happens. Please know that pick up after 6:00 PM will incur an additional $35 charge.

• My child is in Nursery. What time do I need to pick up my child from regular after care program?

  During the first trimester (Fall 2024), we ask that you pick your Nursery student by 5:00 PM.

• What if I see a billing discrepancy?

  Once the fees are paid, there are no refunds. If you notice any discrepancy, please email Nathaniel Meek before you pay your invoice.
