Jeanine Liburd ’88, P’21, ‘24 is Chief Social Impact and Communications Officer for BET Networks. When she was awarded Poly’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018, Jeanine said, “My interest in communications and entertainment definitely had beginnings at Poly. Whether it was participating in the fall play or competing in the Bearns, or giving an Admissions tour, I was learning the art of communication at Poly. This foundation was critical as I honed my ability to craft my ideas and utilize language to be persuasive and share my perspective.” Jeanine is now a Poly parent, who has spoken at Upper School’s Martin Luther King Day Assembly. The life lesson she took from Poly was, “If you don’t see a lane, create one for yourself and before you know it you’ll be sharing it with awesome people who share your values.”
